(no subject)

I haven't really been around since... mid-May, maybe? I managed to pull myself together enough to at least run the flash round of Be The First, but I wasn't truly present (didn't read and comment the way I usually do, which I feel bad about). RL has just been even rougher than usual, and the past two weeks have been a repeated cycle of "well, at least now it can't get worse -- oh, wait, never mind" over and over again.

Anyway, it isn't like staying away has made things easier or anything, so I figured I'd try doing the opposite... Maybe I'll even start using this DW for real, posting a few things here and there. Plus, for literal years now I've been planning to run a little event to celebrate the 100th birthday of one of my favorite actors -- it's now or never, and hopefully it'll be a good distraction as well. Maybe it can even be a useful distraction for anyone else who might need it, what with the current American happenings.
