Hi there, and thank you for coming to read this letter! Just the fact that you're out there — liking one (or more) of my rare fandoms, and writing a gift for me — is wonderful. So please just try to enjoy yourself, and I'm sure to love the end result :) My username is the same on AO3, and I have gifts enabled.

I'm a shipper at heart, and my prompts definitely reflect that. I do apologize if that isn't your thing — warm gen is nice too, so don't worry (just please don't pair the requested characters up with anyone else, if that's the route you go). If it is your thing, though? I love getting-together stories most of all — especially if coupled with UST, mutual pining, and so on, but that's absolutely not a must! I'm all for sex scenes, if that's where the story leads you, but I won't be disappointed if the characters end up taking things slow (and stick with just kissing or ambiguous fade-to-black scenes). Whatever you think works best is cool with me!

Aside from that, the things I like are all over the place — so I'll list a few for you below. Keep in mind that there's no reason for you to worry if the stuff I mention isn't what you had planned! I'm only writing this to give you a general idea of what I'm into, so please don't feel like you must include any of these.

♥ Characters who are unflinchingly loyal, including betrayals that are actually secretly done for the sake of the other.
♥ Protectiveness — especially if the one being protected is quite capable of taking care of themselves, and/or isn't used to someone caring like that.
♥ Stoic characters opening up and revealing feelings they normally wouldn't; the strong-and-silent type showing unexpected vulnerability.
♥ Unrequited love and longing that ends up not being that unrequited after all. UST is great as well, especially if finally resolved.
♥ Moments where one character is completely out of it (due to sleepiness or being wounded or whatever), but is still aware of the other just being there; a comforting and safe presence.
♥ Characters who share a "I understand what you need without having to be told" bond.
♥ Lonely characters finding companionship.
♥ Characters with self-esteem issues being told just how amazing and important they are (perhaps even in connection with a love confession). If their lack of self-worth stems from something physical, like scars, I'd love for them to be shown — especially if coupled with touch-starvation.
♥ Casual or unconscious displays of power, skill, or strength.
♥ Differences between lovers — height, age, etc.
♥ Indirect kissing, especially if coupled with pining. Like one character lighting a cigarette for the other, or drinking from the same glass.
♥ Names! I love it when characters start off calling the other by their last name (or by some formal title), then slowly slip into more familiar terms. Aside from it developing naturally like that, another thing I like is if it happens in the heat of the moment, like in the presence of some danger — or just a case of letting their guard down, maybe while drunk or exhausted. I love the use of nicknames and pet names as well, both unique ones and more generic stuff (everything from "buddy" to "darling").
♥ Rescues, whether it's a matter of life and death or simply being woken from a nightmare.
♥ Rivalries, both of the friendly sort and the more antagonistic kind.
♥ Princess-carrying! (Or bridal-style carrying, whatever you want to call it.)
♥ Characters being brainwashed/mind-controlled/cursed/whatever and forced into fighting against the one they love, who staunchly refuses to fight back. Especially if their shared memories is what finally breaks the spell and saves the day.
♥ Playful sex. That's not to say I don't enjoy tender or passionate sex (I do!), but there's just something about two characters being so at ease and comfortable around each other that they're able to joke and laugh while making love.
♥ Desperate kissing in the rain. Showing up drenched and shivering at the door of a lover-to-be after angsting in the rain is also great. DON'T JUDGE MEEE~

And on the flip side, things I don't want:

♦ Sad stuff involving animals — death, cruelty, etc.
♦ Mentions of kidneys or seizures. Please, not even the words themselves.
♦ Killing off the characters I've requested, or giving them a serious illness they didn't have in canon (by serious I mean things like cancer and dementia).
♦ Infidelity/cheating, polyamory, open relationships, group sex.
♦ Focus on social, religious, or political issues.
♦ Crossovers.
♦ Crack.
♦ Meta.
♦ Alternate Universe. I like AUs sometimes, but these fandoms are all rare so I'd prefer to get fic of them as they are (but fix-it/canon-divergence stuff is all good).

Now then, here are my requests in alphabetical order:

黑社會 | Election Jimmy Lee ~ Fei Gei

These two movies have some extremely fascinating characters, none more so than Fei Gei and Jimmy. And their relationship is just...! *flails incoherently* I mean, for starters their chemistry is through the roof. Then there's the fact that the way they act towards each other stands in stark contrast to their normal behavior. Take Jimmy, for example. Throughout the movies he grows to be extremely ruthless. This is the guy who kills someone, chops up the body, grinds the parts, and then feeds it to the dogs. But it's also the guy who rescues Fei Gei time and time again, who takes off his jacket to tenderly cover Fei Gei's unconscious body, who displays an unprecedented sense of caring and protectiveness towards him, and so on. Hell, Fei Gei kidnaps Jimmy's girlfriend, and Jimmy's reaction? Yelling at his bodyguard for aiming a gun at Fei Gei.

The same goes for Fei Gei. He's unhinged, right from the start, and doesn't seem to have any qualms about the things he does. But when those things concern Jimmy, he stops to think. Like when he slams Jimmy against the wall and presses a knife to his throat (Jimmy's reaction here is great too — the way he doesn't fight back at all, just looks Fei Gei straight in the eye and apologizes). Or, again, the whole kidnapping thing. To Fei Gei it's his one chance to fix everything that's gone wrong for him; all he has to do is use Jimmy's girlfriend as bait and then kill him. But Jimmy enters the car freely, stays behind even when he has the chance to flee, and just talks to Fei Gei... who then backs down without the slightest bit of resistance.

The end of the second movie leaves both of these men in serious trouble. Jimmy's trouble isn't visible to the eye — in fact, everything seems to be going perfectly for him and his rise to power. But he has lost part of himself along the way, I think. I also have no doubt his girlfriend would take off as soon as she found out that he won't be able to be the respectable businessman she wanted him to be. As for Fei Gei, his problems are more obvious. Everyone, on all sides, wants him dead. He doesn't have a single ally, and people are gunning for him left and right. I feel like they could both help each other. Jimmy could offer protection, even if it's just a safe place to heal up and rest for a couple of nights. And I genuinely think Fei Gei would be able to ground Jimmy, and pull him back a bit.

On a more shallow level, I love the juxtaposition between their looks. Jimmy, sleek and immaculate, usually wearing perfectly tailored suits. And then Fei Gei, more of a rough-and-tumble sort of guy, with leather jackets and such. If you feel like including a sex scene, I'd love anything that touched upon that difference.

Hurt/comfort in general would be wonderful for these two! I'd be happy to see either one of them in the hurt role, but I feel like Fei Gei maybe lends himself to it a bit more. He just doesn't seem to have had anyone in his life who ever cared about him, and wouldn't be used to being shown tenderness/affection. Maybe he reveals some perceived weakness or past trauma during a moment where he isn't quite lucid, or cries in his sleep, or falls apart when touched gently for once — or if you'd prefer less emotional hurt and more physical, I'd be all for Jimmy rescuing him yet again, maybe needing to carry him or help dress his wounds or whatever. Anything goes, honestly!

(Also, if at all possible, I would much prefer it if you go with "Fei Gei" rather than "Jet".)

Flight Of The Intruder Jake Grafton ~ Virgil Cole

As much as I love this movie, the end is just... Y'know, I won't beat around the bush here: I desperately, desperately want Virgil to survive! I don't care how you do it — change the whole ending around or just a few details, have him be badly wounded or not hurt at all, borrow a page from the original book (where he doesn't die) or have something entirely different happen, go wild with a time loop or something — absolutely anything is good with me, just as long as he gets to live. And, since I ship him and Jake like crazy, I'd adore you forever if you wanted to take them that route as well.

I love how important they both become to each other, and how close they grow in such a short time. Jake is still reeling from the loss of Morg, and so badly wants to do something that matters. Virgil not only grounds him, but also gives him the chance to make a difference, sticking by his side every step of the way. And Jake becomes just as important to Virgil, who's actually really lonely — isolated, even. Everyone thinks the worst of him, that he's a horrible and disloyal person, which is as far from the truth as it gets. But he doesn't speak up for himself; like when Camparelli is giving him a hard time, he doesn't say a word in his own defense. But he opens up to Jake, because he feels that Jake deserves to know everything. And maybe Virgil hopes someone will finally believe in him, too. And Jake doesn't disappoint. The way he responds, utterly steadfast and supporting, is just beautiful — and it's obvious that it means the world to Virgil.

So, with that in mind, I'd love to see a moment where somebody brings it up and accuses Virgil of abandoning his old partner. I doubt Virgil would respond, and I'd love to see Jake stepping in. Just being protective of Virgil, telling the accuser a thing or two, and then trying to make him feel better. That protectiveness swings both ways (as we clearly see in the end when Virgil keeps Jake from coming to save him ;_;), so if you'd like to flip the roles or write something else centered around that, that'd be just as great!

I love how loyal Jake is, and how deeply he cares. The way he acts after Morg's death, slipping up by still talking to him and calling other people by his name, always breaks my heart. (That's why the final scene just doesn't work for me — it feels completely OOC for him to be upbeat like that, and the whole thing just seems tacked on and forced.)

The scene after their preliminary court-martial is lovely. The way Virgil, once again, opens up to Jake. He looks so heartbreakingly sad when he says he's never trusted or counted on anyone but himself. Then he lifts his gaze to Jake, bright eyes and wide smile lighting up his whole face when he says he's glad it's the two of them against the world — "If we hang or go to jail, we do it together." *clutches heart* And the way Jake gives him this soft, tender smile in return...!

And I love how damn adorable they are together! Like them bursting into song after their solo mission, so happy and perfectly in sync. Or all the pet names they use — honey, baby, amigo, buddy, I love them all to bits. So something sweet and happy like that would be wonderful as well.

See No Evil, Hear No Evil Dave Lyons ~ Wally Karew

I love this movie so much! It's one I always watch when I need to cheer myself up, and it never fails to make me laugh. The relationship between Dave and Wally is so wonderful, and I've always shipped them — Gene Wilder described the movie as "romantic" multiple times in the behind-the-scenes featurette, and I can only agree! A later interview had him stating that the chemistry between him and Richard Pryor was "sexual", and again, I agree. So anything at all you want to write pairing them up would be fantastic, whether humorous or angsty or whatever!

I love their first meeting (and their almost-meeting before that, LOL). Dave explicitly seeking for someone with a sense of humor, and Wally proving he has that in spades with his hilarious time-warp comment. Wally getting pissed when offered the job because he doesn't want any pity from a "deaf asshole", and Dave snapping and going "to hell with blind people" — which instantly wins Wally over. And then the fight in the bar...! I love how Dave already displays such a strong sense of protectiveness towards Wally, even though they literally just met. I mean, when he gets pulled away from Wally he's more focused on trying to get back to Wally than he is on defending himself. They grow close so fast, as evidenced by the moment after the fight, when they both open up to each other.

Wally is very complimentary towards Dave, which I think is great. Describing him as someone who smells real good, and, later when feeling Dave's face, telling him that he's a good-looking guy. No doubt Wally thinks he should be able to get laid easily, as evidenced by his question — Dave dodges it by saying the answer is just too sad, but what if Wally kept thinking about it? Maybe he tries to hook Dave up with someone after the events of the movie, only to finally realize that the only person he wants in bed with Dave is himself?

One moment that really speaks volumes is how well they play off each other during the interrogation with Captain Braddock. They're just so in sync, already, and their sense of humor matches perfectly.

As I already mentioned, I love Dave being so protective towards Wally! When they're escaping from the cops and run down an alley he kicks away the trash in their way so Wally won't trip, he always makes sure to loudly count the steps when they reach stairs, constantly tells Wally to watch his knees/head/whatever, and so on. And Wally returns that protectiveness — when caught by Eve and Kirgo he desperately urges Dave to go; to just run and leave him behind (which Dave of course doesn't do *happy sigh*). Or take the way Wally becomes absolutely frantic when Dave takes that flying leap from the car and passes out.

If you'd be up for writing something angsty and serious, how about some touch-starvation? Dave says that his wife left him when he became completely deaf, and he clearly hasn't been with anyone for a long time (possibly eight years). He also says that due to his deafness people are afraid to come close to him or even touch him, so I think it would only make sense for him to be a bit touch-starved. Enter Wally, who touches him all the time. Is that something Dave starts to crave? Does it make him feel things he desperately tries to push down, because surely Wally doesn't mean anything by it?

Another thing I really love is how genuinely good they are for each other. Wally helps Dave get over a lot of his issues, and when Wally falters Dave is there to support him and pick him back up. (One of my absolute favorite scenes is when Dave regains consciousness after that car mishap. Wally is holding him, and is really upset and blaming himself for Dave getting hurt. Dave says just the right things to make Wally feel better, and it's just so sweet. The fact that Dave looks at Wally like he's two seconds away from kissing him doesn't hurt either, NGL.)

Aaand that's it! Like I said, if anything is unclear or you have something you'd like to ask, I'd be more than happy to answer any and all questions :)

In closing, thank you so much for writing a gift for me! I really can't wait to read it ♥
